Before I get another person sending me a note about this alleged virus, it isn't FA. For those who don't know, a user is claiming he got a virus from FA. The virus is called DNS Unlocker. This did NOT come from FA. This is a program the user had to install themselves either directly or (more likely) as part of a freeware software bundle. The program injects its own ads into sites (and bypasses adblock in some cases) and is not very discerning about where they get the ads from so it is very likely to catch a virus FROM a DNS Unlocker injected ad (which is what happened to the OP). A quick google search told me all this.

Seriously people I know we hate ads on FA but FA staff know this. This is why they use Google Ad Services for the G-rated ads (which guarantees virus free ad content) and they are VERY selective about which adult ads to show on the site. They all know how much you hate the ads but web servers aren't free and neither is the shit tons of storage we use on here. So stop with the "sky is falling" crap and just accept that to have a large furry site full of all this awesome art, someone has to pay the bill.
