Wot de boz teenks...
So I tried to update to windows 10, however I shut down my computer.
Kernel broke, forced me to reformat, so now I'm missing a lot of writing files I was going to finish and post.
I'm sorry folks, I'll try to rework on this and get it up to speed again.
Edit: further issues have come up. While attempting once again to upgrade my sleep addled mind though it might be a good idea to try a fix involving unhooking the SATA cable from my dvd/CD drive.
What I failed to do was unhook the power as well.
Cue one brivked machine. At this time I have given the PC to a computer repair location. The possible scenarios are as follows:
Best: I bricked the power supply, no biggie.
Eh: I bricked both the power supply and the optical drive.
Crap: I bricked the power supply, the optical drive, and the motherboard
FUBAR: I now am the proud owner of a $3000 paperweight.
Crossing fingers and praying to God.

instead I got moving beeps upon moving my mouse and no clicky. Otherwise, it's just a more obscure version of windows 8, except with a valid Desktop mode. Oh well windows 8 drivers seem to work, which were seperately made
What problems have you run into, Echoen?
Won't have that shit in my perfectly fine, perfectly usable current Win7 operating system. I have zero reason to upgrade. There are no features that Win 10 offers that make it worth the pain I hear others going through.
8 was also garbage.
Just because I refused to install Win 10 does not mean I have no experience with it. Those around me that did upgrade to it have regretted it and they have shown me why. Most of them have since 'downgraded' to Win 7 because it's stable, usable, and non-intrusive.
And avoided = not affected by it even on my win 7 machine. MS pushed out updates that forced Win 8 and Win 7 machines to download Win 10 automatically. http://www.howtogeek.com/228551/how.....automatically/
There's some programs you can install to specifically block Win 10 from downloading and from the Win 10 system icon appearing in the tray.
People who have Windows 10 problems now will mark them for people in the future. Windows 8 works fine on my PC with a little prog to mirror the windows 7 startup menu.
Just because the interface might not be to your liking, does not make the entire operating system bad: I've never had a use for Metro, but Surface Pro's are quite appreciated by plenty of people.
If we don't want technology to advance, we can just ignore new operating systems, but there's no reason to be a prophet for decrying something that doesn't currently cost you anything to try, and they've gone out of their way to allow us to step back out of Windows 10. But that doesn't mean we can't help make it as good as possible to avoid things happening like Windows ME.
Not to mention W10 has only been slowly offered to more and more people without really doing harm as long as it's not installed, like you said, you can Always remove the offending data.
On another note, how would just disconnecting the SATA cable from the optical drive kill the power supply? Sounds kind of strange to me.
