I think maybe you could do a patreon like system with different rewards.
Pledging $1, you get to view the comic
Maybe like $5 view wip or early access
The like $10-20 get to feature in it
The prices are up to you, but I'd love to see a comic by you and this idea i think would work

Honestly im not a big fan of Patreon, also even if i tried, i don't have the time to do exclusive content, the best i could offer is sketches of unfinished pics or those sort of thngs, but they are just awful.

Is there any way you could do a system similar that's not patreon? I feel like you'd draw in a lot of customers if thats how they got a comic instead of making one and charging say $5 per purchase (still just guessing prices). Cause I'm sure I'd pay for it regardless, but i feel like anticipation of the next page would keep me paying for it

I'd like to see some more details regarding this idea.
I think it's usually good to see a comic being done by an artist you enjoy watching, since you get to see more of their ideas drawn out in a complete story.
However, if you're going to be drawing a new character in a new style, you might want to run it by your viewers first. I'm not sure if you're going to be charging money for this or not, but if you are, then definitely preview it for us to give us a sample of what it will be like. If it's anything like what you usually draw though, I think most of us will like it.
Most importantly though, only do this if YOU want to do it. Nothing will leave you feeling more dissatisfied if you draw this up trying to appeal a group of people. You should do this because you enjoy it.
