Jekogas are an Open Species! (Adult Content)
Henlo.
The species of my fursona is now becoming an open species, though regulated. If you want to make your own jekoga, please follow these rules and guidelines.
Please be aware that there is adult content in this journal as it fully describes all aspects of the species.
RULES
1. Please credit me for the creation of the species when uploading content with this species in it.
2. Try not to stray from the anatomy and behaviors as this is the stuff that makes a jekoga a jekoga.
3. While jekogas do have genetic manipulation, they don't normally use it. If any of them do use it, it will be a minor change like fur color or maybe a mane or fluffier fur and maybe changes to their markings. Major changes generally make them no longer a jekoga.
4. Robots and androids do exist on modern Rekoja, so you are allowed to make your character a robot jekoga.
5. Jekogas have not yet made contact with humans, however, one could be placed on Earth through supernatural means or through other things.
6. Jekogas normally only have one name, meaning no last names and such unless they are wealthy. You are free to give your Jekoga a human name, but it is preferred to name them using their native alphabet. (Language references coming soon)
SEXUAL ANATOMY
The best visual guide to the anatomy is the reference of Ruo. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19428468/
1. All jekogas are intersex by default, however they are considered genderless as they do not distinguish themselves as male or female. They are not sexually dimorphic either.
2. Jekogas do not have breasts as they do not produce milk. No nipples either.
3. Genital slits are generally hidden by fur in most cases. The anus is hidden by the tail and is located just before the base of the tail.
4. The penis is a bit dragon like, but without any spiked parts. The top has ridges, the head is pointed, and it has a knot. Jekogas ejaculate in copious amounts, but generally up to 16 oz at the very most.
5. The testicles are always internal. The penis is also hidden by a slit instead of a sheath.
6. The vagina is canine like in appearance. The insides travel a bit deep and most of the time the penis will not reach the cervix.
7. Jekogas lay eggs that are a bit fish like in appearance. The eggs are normally the size of a large orange and have a rubbery/leathery texture to them and are a little squishy. They are transparent with a golden brown yolk in the center. Cutting an egg open would reveal that the transparent part is a bit jelly like and the yolk is a runny liquid.
8. The anus is not human like and is more like a feral anus and can be a little stretchy.
9. Reproduction generally works by penetrating the vagina and ejaculating inside when an egg is ready to be laid or by ejaculating onto an already laid egg. Laying an egg generally goes without any discomfort and is generally not messy, though sometimes there will be a little coat of stuff covering the egg which is just left over from egg formation.
10. Jekogas generally do not go through periods or heat.
11. The penis is always located in the front, vagina is located right in between the thighs, and the anus comes after that.
12. The vagina does not have a clitoris.
13. Eggs generally get laid about every 28 Rekoja days. (About 31 Earth days.)
14. The vagina generally is rather smooth and stretchy inside and out. When aroused, the vagina generally puffs up slightly and becomes a little wet.
15. When the penis is aroused it will normally slide itself out of its slit. And for those into it, yes, docking is possible. The knot is always swollen when aroused.
16. The cervix of the vagina is normally closed off completely and attempts to force entry, if reaching it is even possible, can cause great discomfort.
17. Undeveloped eggs cannot be fertilized.
18. The penis does not have a baculum (penis bone).
19. Jekogas generally reach sexual and full maturity at the age of 16 in Rekoja years.
20. They can remain sexually active until death.
REGULAR ANATOMY
PG visuals of Ruo: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19067284/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19076794/
1. They are covered in soft fur which becomes thicker in the winter.
2. Jekogas generally stop growing at 16 Rekoja years and are considered adults at 16. This is equivalent to just over 18 Earth years old.
3. Jekogas are omnivores. On top or bottom, there are 12 teeth, making a total of 24 teeth. 2 flat, wide biting teeth in the front; 2 long canines after that; and lastly 8 chewing teeth after that. A slight overbite is normal.
4. The muzzles of Jekogas are medium in length and are thick. Their nose is just slitted nostrils.
5. Jekogas do not have any exposed skin and do not sweat. Instead they radiate heat through their ears, mouth, nose, hands, tail, and feet. This also means they do not have a wet nose or paw pads.
6. They have white claws on their fingers and toes and are not retractable.
7. An old jekoga will have pale fur that is slightly wirey and will have slight sagging on their skin and their voices become a little raspy.
8. Their body temeprature is normally 99.3 F.
9. They do not have eyelashes.
10. The average height of a jekoga is 6 ft 5 in. The average weight in Earth gravity is 240 lbs and in Rekoja gravity it is 218.4. Height can vary between 5 ft 11 in and 7 ft. In rare cases some are even shorter and very few have been as short as 3 ft 6 in.
11. Jekogas are a little husky looking, but this is healthy for them.
12. All jekogas have a horizontal pouch. It is used for keeping fertile eggs warm during development and for keeping young in until they are too big. Other times it is generally used as a pocket to keep stuff in.
13. The growth of a jekoga inside an egg takes around one Rekoja season. When they are born, they are only about a foot tall, but can fend for themselves if absolutely necessary. Language development starts around 1 Rekoja year of age. Puberty hits around 10 Rekoja years old.
14. Jekogas have large ears on the sides of their heads that point backwards. The ears cannot point up.
15. Jekogas do not have any unnecessary organs.
16. Jekogas have digitigrade legs which gives them easier movement.
17. Jekogas have long, thick, tapering tails which are useful for balance and body language.
18. Their fingers are generally thicker than a human's.
19. Their tongues are thick and tapering.
20. Their pupils are circular, not slitted or anything else.
21. Their eye colors can be any of the following or a mix: blue, green, light brown, amber, silver, and lavander.
22. They have simple markings, generally being only two colors on their body. Their front, from the mouth to the inner thighs and under the tail and the insides of their ears are a lighter color. This lighter color varies between white, a cream version of their main color, and a bit of a lighter version of their main color. Their main colors are normally browns, grays, white, black, purples, blues, greens, oranges, yellows, and reds. Sometimes they do not have the lighter color in front. The main colors are often light or pastel, some are deep colored, and on rare occasions they can be vivid. Pink and magenta colors don't occur naturally on their fur.
23. Their flesh is usually pink colored, but it is sometimes black.
24. Jekogas have 5 fingers including the thumb on each hand and 4 toes on each foot.
25. Jekogas are mammal like and are warm blooded.
26. They do not have belly buttons because they come from eggs and the pouch would be in the way anyway.
BEHAVIORS AND OTHER THINGS
1. Jekogas generally prefer to live in temperate forests and pine forests, which on Rekoja range in temperatures in the winter from -11 C to 6 C and in summer from 19 C to 29 C.
2. They wear light clothing most of the year but will wear thicker clothes in the winter. It is also not uncommon for an adult to be naked. It is rather taboo for children to be naked in public and it is also illegal on Rekoja.
3. The average life span of a jekoga is about 175 Rekoja years, or 199 Earth years. Before modern medicine, they would only live to be about 50 Rekoja years at the oldest.
4. Jekogas generally don't start looking old until around 140 Rekoja years.
5. Jekogas sleep for about 8 to 10.5 Earth hours each day and normally sleep at night.
6. Their hearing is a little better than a human's.
7. Jekogas have slightly better vision, but are sensitive to very bright light, so on Earth for example they would be squinting a lot just being out in the daylight. Teksog, the sun of Rekoja, is not as bright, so they don't squint very much there. Color vision is the same as a human's.
8. Sense of smell is a bit more sensitive.
9. Touch is a little better and taste is about the same as a human's.
10. Intelligence compared to a human's is a little superior, however, they can come off as a little dumb or oblivious and can be a little lazy, but they are generally also friendly.
11. Jekogas are allergic to a few Rekoja plants that grow in the wild and are slightly allergic to sour things and in very rare cases some are allergic to fish. Jekogas are also allergic to peppers and spices that are extremely hot, but anything that is a regular hot and even mild is just fine.
12. The following are poisonous to Jekogas: Coffee, alcohol (even in drinks), neurotoxins, carbon monoxide, fossil fuels (when ingested), lead, mercury, several other artificial chemicals (normally when ingested), volcanic ash and gasses, and carbon dioxide (in large amounts).
13. Voices of Jekogas are human like. A child's voice is always higher pitched than an adult's. Adults normally have an almost male voice with a bit of tenor in it, but some have a deeper voice. Other vocalizations include some light grunting, mild squeaks, and vocal whimpering. Inflection is normal compared to a human's and over all their voices would be nearly impossible to differentiate from a human's.
14. Body language of a jekoga when in a positive mood is a display of slightly perked ears and a slow wagging of their tails. Some will put their fists up to their chests when excited and might dance a little. A neutral mood will show little body language. Negative moods will give a jekoga droopy/laid back ears, a hunched posture, and their tails will be low to the ground.
15. Jekogas can normally swim, but some can't. Over all, though, jekogas normally don't go swimming.
16. Jekogas tend to bathe every day.
17. Mated jekogas like to display affection through standard ways such as hugging and kissing, but will also nibble, lick, nuzzle, and nose each other. Public displays of affection are not uncommon.
18. Angry and threatened jekogas will bite, scratch, punch, kick, etc.
19. Clothing styles vary from individual to individual. They tend to wear whatever they want.
Rekoja also has several time periods, from tribal, to medieval, modern, and a sci-fi sort of future. And remember, it's not just the looks that make the character, but also the personality, background, and outfits. I feel like this should be enough information, but I will include even more information for those who really want to deeply invest in their jekogas.
