Which is why you don't have a democrat in office when dealing with genocidal types. It's called dropping nukes or using excessive force, and sadly it's time to do so on the group or it should be done. there's just no reason for them to do things like that to make a statement, otherwise they end up being targeted to be a statement of as in being nuked, droned, etc that will just silence them.

I don't think using the atomic arsenal will ever be the answer. Truman set that standard during the Korean war after he refused to when MacArthur suggested using them. They were necessary to stop the Japanese but borders insanity now. I do agree pounding them into submission is the way to do it because they only understand force. And we need a super coalition which includes Arab countries to help. That way they realise the rest of the world is against them.

What's a little ironic about you bringing up the nuke idea the same day I got my copy of "The Day After". Not sure if you are aware of that movie but it came out in 1983 and had to do with the cold war reaching its ultimate climax, thankfully history went in the right direction. Its of particular interest to me because first of all I was a child in that time, and it is based in the area I have lived all my life.

You know I recently saw a dutch presentation/reading on the terrorist subject in general, and it pointed out something intresting.
We know that 'terrorists' have been around for a very long time, however with the information we see of their existance we also see a very intresting pattern. Namely that terrorists groups die out over time, not just because other nations do their best to take them down. But also because the times change, and thus the ideals.

Currently those ISIS guys have nothing really left, their state that was once 'a good place to live' has been practicaly reduced to rubble. The only reason why their still resisting and fighting back properly is due to the Iraq generals that once used to work for Saddam. Whom were trained by (if I recal correctly) the stasi the german intelligence group, these generals know how to fight but also how to make a police state and maintain it.
This has ensured that ISIS is quite a ways more dangerous and effective than the other terrorist groups we have had to deal with, but they have dug their own grave. There are many whom feel anger within ISIS to ISIS due to the police state structure basicly making enemy's of their own citizen and ofcourse with their infrastructure ruined their people are slowly revolting.

What ISIS does and people do in the name of ISIS is disgusting, in the words of a dutch spokesperson about the subject : "These are not real muslims, a muslim would never kill." And living in holland the recent attacks in belgium have shook me up a tad, it is only a few hours away from here. And you can't fully predict these people, but we can also sleep with a mild security knowing that ISIS is on time frame thats running to a close.

I can only pray that you are right and that all terrorist groups will someday just fade away to history. Till then we need to keep ourselves safe the only way we can, and that's to hit them where it hurts and make sure if there are leads to future attacks that our governments know about, they need to act on them.

And you stay safe up there in Holland. All the European countries are so beautiful from what I have seen of them through American TV. Its such a shame to see the continent in such a dangerous state not seen since World War II thanks to ISIS.
