I wasn't really talking about online dating but talking to girls in general, I can't speak for others but they did help me a lot back in the early 2000s.

if you meant online thru internet relationships I try to have relationship outside & offline but at times I have dabbled in the online relationships

Online relationships are often the easier option because people get to see your personality before looking at you and in my case that's a plus, I'm not exactly the most attractive guy out there so personality is all I got!

Don't let all these people in relationships trick you into thinking that stuff is amazing. Being single and doing whatever you want whenever you want is way more satisfying. Relationships are a chore. The only real reason to ever lock yourself into one is if you plan on having a family. Otherwise there is very little upside to relationships.

I think there's more to it than that, you see being in a relationship for the sake of being in one is indeed a chore which is the reason why most relationships end fast, however some of us WANT to make a family and have kids of their own, I want to make my beloved one happy and maybe shower her with gifts not because I have to but because I want to, that's the difference, otherwise I agree being single and free is better!

In reality being true to yourself always reduces your chances of finding someone because like you said it only limits it to girls who actually like your personality and that is very rare, I'm not saying you should lie to her but if you want to find the one you need to learn how you talk to girls first and this includes first impression which unlike us boys is very important to girls, many girls believe that first impression is everything.
