RPG Maker VX Ace?

MY CURRENT PERSONAL PROJECT: "Macro Aspirations", starts here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19151946/
On sale on Steam for 7 bucks, 90% off of the regular $70. I was not interested in messing around with such software for seventy dollars...however, at such a low price I got it to just have the ability to play around with it from time to time, design my own this and that. Reason I made a journal:
A) In case anyone else wants to check out this deal
B) I was wondering if anyone who already uses RPG maker software could help show me the ropes or if they know a place to see a nice tutorial of some sort...want to know the basics.
No, I'm not a person who makes games. However, I like the idea of a program that lets me design and have a bit of creativity (I am not a visual artist as most of you know).

I actually got it a good while back myself. I need to play around with it some more, but there are some tutorials and such online you can find that walk you through the various tools and such.
