Seeing a character in a pose that suits them is always good but sometimes its good to break the mould to prevent them getting too serious

Like the warrior type, I guess what I mean is not always showing a fighting pose, but if their normally all about business and seriousness, then in a pose where theyou are being hugged, have them with a 'what do I do' expression, to still kinda fit the personality. There's many aspects to a character. :) but the main character aspect I normally like to put in the center then ask myself "with their personality, how would they react to this situation " and then base my art from that.

That's what I mean when I say 'fit the character' you're right about not wanting things to be too serious. :]

Some of those 'what the shit do I do' reactions are downright hilarious XD but it is good to put them out of their comfort zones occasionally ^^

It's funny to put them out of their comfort zones. :> but like I don't think I'd ever....have a warrior type dancing ballet, and if for some reason they were in that situation. ...again with the 'the heck...' kind of expression. I just don't like to lose who they are in random poses that are just there. :>

Yeah, you can't do something TOTALLY random as it sort of kills the spirit of humour in the pic and just gets weird :/

I wouldn't get a YCH or art for a character that didn't suit them in some way. An exception may be if I just wanted a themed, or funny pic of them.
