I'm a waitress, and I was at work and sort of busy! I was taking care of this one couple around my age, they were very sweet and polite! At the end of their meal, the girl told me that she was new in town and really wants a friend! She told me that I seem really nice and would make a great friend!
It was so adorable and sweet and of course I said yes and gave her my phone number!
I don't know if she will ever call me to hang out or if we will even have anything in common, but still it opened my eyes to something.
I always wondered how people made friends and I never even thought once that maybe just asking was even an option. I didn't think it was weird or awkward of her to come up to me and ask (which would have been my fear if I were in her shoes)!!
I would have never had the courage to do what she did!
