Your Opinion!

So this has been on my mind for a long time, and I wanted to ask your opinions.
Is it wrong, to recreate a type of image for yourself, if you can't afford it from another artist?
Say like. Someone were to make a remake of this - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19354232/
So same idea, only they did the art instead of commissioning the artist?
Would that be wrong?
Or what?

If you make a picture that's based on another artist's picture. I'd make sure the other artist is okay with it.
It's just like if an artist is selling a base. They are essentially selling their permission to use that picture. You can do with it what you will but you still need that permission. That's also why artists get so pissy about tracing and the like. If you don't have permission and they find out from one of their friends or something, they're gonna be pissed. No matter how cool the artist is.
It's just always a good idea to ask permission before you do that sort of thing. Different people will take it differently. I'd expect about half of them to be chill about it and say it's cool, while the other half would be like 'this dude is asking if it's cool to trace my shit.'
I personally wouldn't do it. It's a really thin line to walk and you might not know that there's an issue until it's too late.
Just be careful hun. <3
So if someone did something like colored lines, on a black back round.
And then someone else does it?
No one owns a pose.
As long as you do not trace, do not use any piece of their art except idea...
Then you are fine to do whatever.
There are those who bitch and complain....
But the fact of the matter is, you didn't do anything wrong.
People will complain seeing two similar things and chances are they never saw the other because their is a limitation to pose/idea in this world.
