The Martian is an amazing movie.
Also I promise you I'll start submitting stuff other than Starry soon. He's popping up so much because he's so darn easy to draw and practice with.
YOU'LL SEE. I'LL SHOW YOU. >:U
Also what did everyone think of Batman V Superman? I might watch it on DVD if I feel like it, but only to see Ben Affleck as Batman. I hear there was a LOT of disappointment, so I just wanna hear everyone's thoughts. ^w^ I had to see Man of Steel and disliked it, I didn't like how dark and edgy they made Superman. Did nobody seriously hear or see him crucify a truck...???
ANYHOO, I definetely might see Suicide Squad. The concept and set up seems much more interesting, and seems like a recipe for a successful movie.
But that's generally my opinion. ^w^

Batman V Superman is much like Man of Steel; dark and edgy. There is little humor, the most coming from Jesse Eisenberg's performance as Lex Luthor. The story had a great premise, don't get me wrong, but it fell flat because of a lack of comedic relief. (That and it's over-saturated with special effects.) However, I'd sum it as a hit or miss. I personally didn't like it all that much, but I can see why some people would enjoy the film.
Is the plot atleast better? The only thing that would really interest me is Ben Affleck's portrayal, which I hear is good. I legitimately could not take Christian Bale and his marble-gargle voice seriously for even five seconds. Sorry.
But you should take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. It's not a bad movie, but I wouldn't say it's a good movie either.
Suicide Squad is just as "edgy". They made Harley, who's developed this really great, strong character in recent years, into a joke. Or a punchline, and Stockholm syndrome and emotional abuse is the joke. They portray her as being schizoaffective (delusions, such as hearing voices) when that's never been a part of her mental health concern. But it's RANDOM XD to lump all the different kinds of "crazy" together. Just a real ham fisted hack job.
What. XD
Honestly I've noticed that Suicide Squad does have more of a humorous sidetone though, and that's what interests me. Not sure what to say about Harley, but I kinda like this interpretation because I see it as...well...an interpretation. Whether it's good a good interpretation or not will be left to when the movie is released, but we shall see.
I wont judge the interpretation until the movie's released, but I like her design and the spirit of her character, and that's what fascinates me. Sorry. ^w^;;
