Yeah. I only shoot raw. I sometimes leave the RAW + Jpeg on so I have quick ones I can at least show people while I work with the raw files. God I so want my own D-SLR.

Never once did I consider going back to JPEG

Flash cards are so cheap now... there really isnt any reason not to shoot raw.

RAW ftw.. You get so many ways to twitch the colors and stuff to make it look great :3

I'd never go back to raw, the data that's in the underexposed and overexposed area is fully recoverable, unlike a jpeg.

There's a guy who took a night time photo on FA here and did a comparison with the same settings. Basically he tweaked it until it looked like it was shot in daylight. Then he did the same thing to an identical jpeg version of the image. To say it's dramatic doesn't cut it, the jpeg looked like crap.

Interesting. I thought only people doing animations using image based lighting systems were using that. I love being constantly reminded I know nothing of photography.
