I love the book... But Fuck the movie... sorry for the language but that's how I feel....
*Spoilers*
-I MEAN COME ON!!!! The time(I thought it was not possible but it is) is not proportional to the story!!! I mean the intro was hella long(it felt like the whole journey and the intro were as long as each other).
-Brom's training with Eragon only had one session(The movie didn't show Eragon growing... I mean, the director could have made it like; At first they were fighting with wooden sticks, then next scene would show the both of them fighting with the real swords and Eragon keeping up with Brom's skill; It didn't show that at least!)...
-And What happened to his cousin!!!!
-And the Dwarf twins!!!
-And the scene when Eragon first flew with Sephira(with the saddle), HOW COULD BROM FOLLOW THEM WITH A HORSE!!!
-And the magic fatigue didn't really show... THERE WAS NO SMOKE DRAGON THINGIE!!!(and you guys might say that "So it would make the story better"... The fight scene in the book was better...)
-It focuses too much on Eragon
-The only character that was acted properly was Brom(my opinion)
-A person who didn't read the book whould have a hard time following the story
-I mean even Sephira's head armor when unmounted looked different from the mounted one!

-How would Murtag be Eragon's enemy at the end of Eldest if he wasn't abducted in the first movie! How would Eldest the movie look like!!!

I knew several months in advance that it was going to be massively different from the book. Different doesn't mean bad. I've seen this movie 5 times (once a week since it opened), and I plan to see it more. I love it. It's not *astoundingly wonderful*, but it's good.
Yes, there are some things that were changed that didn't need to be changed, but that's Hollywood for ya.
Now, for the nitpicking: First, the Twins were not Dwarves, they were Humans. Second, Murtagh wasn't captured until the beginning of Eldest.
I say, direct all your bitching at 20th Century Fox, for not giving it the production budget it deserved.
