So I went to the Apple store today to have my computer looked at. As you may or may not know, with my previous configuration (that had 2 years worth of apps and files on it), it was running SUPER SUPER SLOW, timing out, crashing, etc. The Mac people said there was nothing physically wrong with the computer. WELL HM.

Last night I wiped the HD, put a fresh copy of Leopard on, and decided NOT to migrate all of my old data. It literally works like new. Unfortunately, that leaves me without a bunch of my old applications like Flash, After Effects, etc. If I were to migrate these programs onto the fresh copy of Leopard, it would leave me with freaking 13 gigs of space because it HAS to copy the library, too.

Well today I found out that *GASP* you can actually SWAP HDs on a macbook, even though they make it seem like Macs are all mystical and impossible to tweak. I ordered a 500 gig HD to replace the measly 80 gig one I currently have. That way I can migrate all my old applications without leaving me with 13 gigs of space, like before.

YAY!!!!!!

I won't be able to use flash for a couple days, but... OTHER THAN THAT!!!!! this is super cool!

Oh, also, the final bill for my car is $700+. I decided i'm gonna spend most of the summer putting money aside for it, then get it fixed right before I drive out to LA, just in case I get into another unfortunate fender bender. :X
