it's, uh, over. The author posted the ending on the seventh anniversary. We'd known that the comic would end on this date for quite a long time. It's not that anything went wrong; it's that a seven-year epic finally reached its (ambiguous) conclusion.

Now when is Homestar Runner coming back?

Lord English got pocketed. All of the requirements to defeat him were met at the last instant. The house juju, which is either a metaphor for homestuck or just trapping the souls of the main characters, is used. the characters escape from the comic after its used, anyway. The green sun is absorbed into a black hole, so he no longer has first guardian powers, making him vulnerable to attacks more regularly (though still not "killable" on its own). Dave has the sword forged from the cueball of LE's god tier clock, so that sword is capable of dealing a killing blow. Though it's not clear if that's what happens. I think with the black hole there, he just gets knocked into the event horizon. vriska is he cue, LE gets knocked into the pocket.

it's pretty fine as an ending. just a lot of loose characters ends aren't tied and that's rrrr
