Computer problems rant

So today i got back from work and after lunch BF asked me to make a FFXIV dungeon.
It's a fast thing so i said "well sure!"
5 minutes later in game my graphic card or screen shit controler broke, turning the screen black and recovering after the delay. A message appeared saying the controller recovered and stuff.
Still that kept happenening untill the whole computer crashed.
It happened with Skyrim. it happened with MINECRAFT. Even photshop glitches to black screen. ( that's a big problem here ).
I've tried everything, cleaning up the computer, the registers, checking my graphics are updated... now i'm updating windows.
I have little to no patience. If i haven't solved it soon, i'll buy a new laptop. Or just a desk Mr computer. On monday. Because tomorrow it's closed everywhere.
I'm an impatient bear.

One thing to try, if you have a spare hard drive, is to stick that into the laptop and do a clean install of Windows with no other software except what you need to test it. If the problem still occurs, it's almost certainly the hardware.
It does sound like overheating, or a graphics card problem. Minecraft is more CPU intensive than GPU intensive, but both will cause heat.
Hopefully my BF will let me install photoshop on his computer so i can use it while he works.
This just makes me... A cranky bear.
