Help, I need some advice..

It just hit me that a friend has lied to me (yet again) I've been lied to and used by said 'friend' a few times...
And this friend always acts like nothing is going on when ever I talk to them and pulls the 'I am so offended that you would think bad of me' card when ever I question them about it.
this new realization REALLY ticks me off.... Should I politely lose contact with them? That wouldn't be very hard for me to do, but it's not like me to ever do something so spineless. I'm always worried that I am missing a piece of the puzzle that will clear them.
I know this person has a reputation of loosing their temper when they get dropped (it happens often to them)
I don't like to think that anyone would try to use or lie a friend for their own convenience, I like to think people generally try to be kind, fair and loyal... but I may have found an exception.
Advice, please?

You can explain it, or simply block them, but don't let them near you.
That is not someone that is good to have around you.
They are not a good friend to have.
Intent is not particularly relevant here to me.
As said: explain them or block them without a word.
They don't deserve your beautiful lips :3
I would suggest to stop communication, but leave the door open per say. Let them know that you need an explanation for their behavior and that they can talk to you and defend their case, but that you are not going to initiated more friendship until then. I prefer to leave things on a good note and maybe they had a reason to do what they did. Also, it makes you look better to handle it nicely than to get out the ban-hammer.
I would suggest quietly dropping contact, and letting them fade out of your scene. If you have to be around them, be polite, but don't invite them back into your circle of friends.
there's either the cold turkey-let-them-have-their-tantrum route, the slowly-ignore-them route, or continue to get walked on :<
I like the first cause I feel its the most honest :> But then people call me a bitch XD
<3 good luck!
I have fiends like that, but what they lie about is bullshit things like, "hey, do you know..." or "did you hear about the time that..." I'm just getting tired about the shear amount of lies they say though. -_-
ages back I met a girl called Sue.
Sue had a very bad name in the commission field (she was a buyer) and people where harassing her, so I stood up for her. I thought it was very unfair of people to treat her the way they did.
We became good pals, in fact she is the one who brought me to FA :D
She ended up commissioning me for a piece, which I did. It wasn't until a year and a half later that I was paid for my work. This was very upsetting to me because I trusted her quite allot as she was the only fur friend I had.
I gave her the benefit of the doubt, because I considered her a friend and I didn't want to be another person who was against her
okay, skip forward to now...
She has been very very late paying me for everything I have done for her
One time she sent me a money order that wouldn't work in Australia. She blamed me for it and refused to send one that I could take. Realistically, she knew I was an Australian and she should have had the sense to send an international money order.
recently, she asked me for another artwork. I agreed. She paid me in advance only to ask for a refund soon after I had completed the base rendering (which took 8 hours btw)
It was a $30 commission. I refunded her $10, and gave her $20 for her to do art for me.... which, months later... she hasn't done.
She told me this sob story about her breaking up with her boyfriend and being broke without enough money for food and bills ect. HOWEVER, I noticed she has used that money to commission other artists to draw her charater.
She lied to me and manipulated me into giving away allot of my time and hard work into art for her. I forget how many gift arts I have done for her.
One time I was to busy doing homework to draw her free art... and she accused me of not being a real friend because I wouldn't drop my study for her.
I discovered she had been doing the same thing to multiple artists.. and been quite rude about it when they didn't play her game.
upon realizing I had been scamed, I asked for a refund on the work I commissioned her for months ago.
But she turned it down, saying that she spent the money on bills (which I know is bull, given the amount of art she has been receiving lately)
this is the message I wrote... but I dont know if I should send it..
"Forget the commission, I don't want it. You have been dishonest to me and I will no longer do business with you.
I have given you notice that I withdrawal my commission, prior to any work being done on it.
If I am not refunded by the end of the month legal action will be taken. "
