Welcome to my mind.
Okay, let me get this out of the way, it's a shame he's dead, and my sympathies to his many many fans out there. But the thing is, I'm not one of them, I actually cannot remember listening to a single song. I'm sure I have, but I couldn't identify them or pick them out. So, what are your guys' favorite Prince songs? What are you listening to in memory of him? Whst songs would you play for a total Prince newb. I'm curious, and I wouldn't mind getting a chance to listen to something "new."
I fell in love with Doves the first time I heard it on the radio when I was 10 or so, and it's stuck with me ever since then. There's something about the lyrics, the rhythm of the words, that always just... spoke to me somehow. There's just this longing and pain in it that's... beautiful. And the guitar solo on the full length version is epic.
As far as Let's Go Crazy, it's just a super fun, cast all your cares to the wind and enjoy yourself type song that's a blast to listen too.
