Rant and I understand YCH now
All right folks, rant time. Not really a major one, but just to explain my thoughts and my actions recently.
Long of the short, I have been burned on commissions recently. Either they turned out different then I wanted, and when I expressed I didn't like them the ones I commissioned argued that the changes were needed or they didn't seem to care. Some have said sorry and then argued as to justify their choices and very few have been sincerely apologetic about the whole ordeal, though it is still irksome that it happened. Just doing a quick search 18 pieces I commissioned be it art or stories had issues. 18, that is an insane number given how much I commission.
I understand some folks abuse artists and writers when it comes to commissions asking for multiple changes, or reworks and the like. I have never felt I ask too much for edits, but I could be wrong, so folks I have commissioned feel free to tell me if I ask too much.
Long of the short, I think I am going to adopt a new policy of I will only commission people till I get burned once, be it they changed a key detail of the story, drew it in a way I was unhappy with, or argued with me when I asked for the piece I am paying for to be corrected. I get burned, those folks don't get my money again.
This brings me to the YCH, I get it now, more so than I ever have. The beauty of them is you know exactly what you are getting, how it is going to look and everything. It is an already finished picture just needs to be edited to make it fit what the buyer wants. So yeah folks might dislike them, and many might hate them but understand it is the easiest way for folks who want art or stories to get exactly what they want and know there is going to be no drama that comes from it when a detail is messed up.
Anyways that is all folks.

It almost seems like Warhorse could have written your journal. He seems to have similar problems.
