Fun with CPAP

That is a totally sarcastic title. I am not having fun at all. First of all, I started with the nasal pillow mask. That's a mask that covers the nostrils and is relatively small. Big problem with it. I can't breathe through my mouth. I open my mouth, air rushes out of it. I need to be able to breathe through my mouth. I have asthma and at times it feels like I don't get enough air through my nose. I actually had a panic attack because I couldn't breathe. Needless to say, I took the mask off and the next day called my provider. I decided the full mask would be better since I can breathe through my mouth. I've been on the full mask for a few days now and am not sleeping well yet. I know I will get used to it, but waiting to do so is a pain in the ass. I haven't had a full night's sleep since April 7th. But, at least I can breathe better.

I hope the full mask will be much better for you in time. :/ We want you to be well-rested when we see you next! *hug*

Adaptation to this kind of thing is difficult, but I know you will persevere. Perhaps a newer or more advanced version of this technology will appear in time.
