Do you think the Carnivores/Omnivores eat Fish and Poultry? Because I did notice they haven't showed any Meat around

that's always been my theory, technically reptile would be on the table too, I bet snake meat is popular in the mongoose district.

Because it very specifically says mammals, and they felt apes were too close to humans.

Pigs can become feral and domesticated very easily, and their genes, as well as physical features change with this process. So think of Pigs in Zootopia in comparison to Boars like you would Humans today compared to Cave Men. They all started out wild and then as they become more intelligent and cooperative, they became 'domesticated' as it were. x3

Either that or the exact opposite. Were there any other domesticated animals in Zootopia, or mainly the types that are wild animals?

Just wild animals, not even goats. There are sheep and rams though. So, holes in the theory already. XD

The theme of the movie was aller about the predators and the preys after all.
As for birds, I guess they wanted to stick to mammal ones.

I've heard rumors there are possible plans for a spin-off with avians or reptiles and such.

hmm, it is true that some species literally wouldn't exist without human intervention and so wouldn't appear in Zootopia, dogs and cats included, but I don't think the creators thought of that because not only the pigs but also the sheep looked to be of the domestic type. It could be they avoided dogs and cats to avoid cliche and expose children to more exotic species.

I dunno, I picked up the Art of Zootopia book. According to them, 80% of the things they planed for the movie were cut and they did such a ludicrous amount of research on everything. But it is weird that sheep and pigs got through unscathed.

Yeah, no pun intended but Zootopia's evolutionary history can be a MAJOR rabbit hole if you start to think about it. First of all the world itself violates one of the tenets of evolution in our world: when 2 similar species require the same resources to survive and live in the same place one will inevitably drive the other extinct, that's why humans are the only species in the hominid genus (we out-competed or interbred with all the others) and more primitive animals like Lemurs and Marsupials can only be found on isolated islands where they were protected from other animals who could more efficiently exploit the environment. Second of all is of course the vanishingly small probability that so many species would evolve the same level of sentience at the same time.

But hey, that's just me being pedantic, I'm not going to complain about scientific inaccuracies in one of my favorite Disney movies, that would just be silly.

I was thinking they'd have a zoo with humans on display like monkeys or apes :P

I'm sure they went over all sorts ideas. There's probably one in there that has humans in a natural history museum or something.

Not a bad theory, and I wouldn't be surprised :P

There were never any humans,, so no domestic animals.
There are some wild animals that look very similar though.

Well they do have felines and canines in the show that are civil, that would imply they made chose to with, eh, I'm probably looking too deep into it.

From what I heard the pink hairless and tusk less pigs on McDonalds farm will (fairly quickly) regrow hair and tusks when left to run around in the wild outside the smaller confined pens . After a generation or two in the wild they become indistinguishable from other Wild Boars. My theory is civilization made the domestic pigs in Zootopia. and wild boars would be in more rural wild areas. Warthogs excluded.
