So far both my boyfriend's laptop and mine as well as my desktop have picked up viruses/adware! I have adblocker and antivirus stuff on my computer and I didn't download anything but boom there it is! I'm pretty sure I got it from FA because it pops up the moment I go to this site but not on google. However it also came up on a few other sites but I didn't try going to those until after FA.
A window slides into the middle right side of my screen with various ads and what not. I've run CCleaner, and adwcleaner. The window has the title of "Around the web" and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get rid of this thing! If anyone knows anything, please help me out here! Has anyone else come across this as well? I thought I had decent protection but apparently I don't...or this is a rather sneaky virus.
I've run just about everything people suggested, I've added adblock to my firefox but nothing is helping. If I go to certain sites nothing strange happens, Furaffinity and Deviantart get hit with ads and attempted pop ups. Furaffinity works fine when I'm in private mode or when I'm not logged in...can someone PLEASE help me with this?!

Ok I did a complete system reset...adware on my firefox and what ever else I can think of and for now everything seems to be going well and working properly! Thank you folks for commenting

I have it not only hide the ads, but the containment blocks as well. I also have Noscript running as well.
I do exert some influence over which ads get displayed by occasionally visiting certain online retailers (Amazon, Zappos, FinishLine, REI, 6PM, for example) who's ads are fairly innocuous. Their ads get displayed during my FA use, crowding out the more questionable advertisers.
