When I'd joined the "Fat Furs Mailing List" (a Yahoo! group) a long time ago, it was mostly comprised of the talents of 'fat furry' anthroartists and writers. But I wanted to contribute more than just my own art and stories...

So, once in a great while, I would post a syndicated comic strip with a gag featuring a fattened anthropomorphic character in it. Examples include "Over The Hedge" by Fry & Lewis, "The Grizzwells" by Bill Schorr, and "Girth" by Steve Powell.

For this journal, I'd chosen to present a list of links to some 'fat furry' gags from one of my favorite strips, "Pluggers" - co-created by Jeff ("Shoe") MacNelly, and illustrated by Gary Brookins. The two main corpulent characters in "Pluggers" are 'Andy Bear' and 'Carl Rhinoski'. Here are an assortment of 'pluggerisms' for 2016 - from the "GoComics" website - with 'Andy Bear' (literally) standing out. (The one exception to said list is the April 20th gag, featuring a nameless full-figured female.) I hope to present a list of past gags with 'Carl Rhinoski' (dealing with his own weighty problems) at a later date...
