So... it's mother's day on sunday.

My mother received her medical results today from some magnetic X-ray whatever that is. Turns out there's something in her waist and the doctors think it's cancer. What a beautiful sunday this will be.
They still aren't sure. So here's to hoping, but honestly, I feel quite devastated. I am not sure how I am processing any of this.

Cancer does not mean death always in this day and age. Not with how advanced our cancer treatments are becoming more and more each day. Even if it does turn out to be that stupid evil crab, have faith she will recover. People only die from cancer nowadays if its discovered far too late or, as personal experience as a nurse as taught me, give up before the fight even began. Its amazing how much just going "I AM GOING TO COOK THIS CRAB WITH SOME BUTTER!" attitude really, really helps when it comes to fighting it. I know its hard and scary, my mom dealt with lung cancer, found out almost a year and a half ago, it was bad too, real bad. Yet with her attitude and with the treatments done, she is now cancer free and about to go to do check ups only every 6 months. I felt as you did when we found out, I was terrified too. *hugs*
