Today we found Knight, one of our two dogs, in a condition where he could barely move, and couldn't stand and walk, so we took him to the vet. Turns out he had a form of cancer, kidney failure and anemia where his blood cells were attacking each other. Not a candidate for surgery, we just decided to put him out of his misery with euthanasia, so that he can rest peacefully instead of being in pain. He lived a good 10+ years, in a way; he didn't get to see much, but I did give him attention every day. He'll be missed, but I'm just glad he no longer has to suffer.
