Waffles did it, I wanted to as well.
WARNING: I never know what the hell I'm talking about. If I sound uneducated, assume natural stupidity on the author's part. ME. >:L
Paper Route.
Ambient guitar riffs, ethereal vocals, and a very unique way of putting it together, I fell in love with this band as soon as I heard them. Formed in Nashville in 2004 and born of insomnia, Paper Route is unlike anything you've heard before.

Angels & Airwaves.
Tom Delonge's (Blink-182's singer) pet project, AVA veers off the course of Tom's previous outings with a mix of uplifting, epic guitar riffs, industrial sounds, and more reverb than necessary, but I love it.

Ravex.
To celebrate the 10 or 20 year anniversary of record label Avex's formation, they got three of their best artists and had them collaborate with a bunch of other artists from the label to create a sort of commemorative album. And damn, did they make some AWESOME dance tracks. fo serial. However, the best song on the album must be 1 More Night. One of the catchiest songs I've ever heard, and one of my favorite songs EVER.

Scoobie Do.
Weird name, awesome band. If you can get past the initial wall of the vocalist (which grows on you over time), this band has a lot to offer. FUNKALISMO! Japanese funk rock at it's best.

Pizzicato Five.
Harkening to the 60's french pop vibe, Pizzicato Five brings a wide range of genres to the table. From dance to jazz to easy listening to pop, Pizzicato injects all of these genres with their own twist, creating something truly unique.

Tokyo Mon Amour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5hwx7x1iWU
Part 2 tomorrow, including my favorite band in the UNIVERSE, Mute Math.
