Idea for a Challenge
A loud roar breaks through the silence and glowing yellow eyes grab you're attention refusing to let you go..
I'm not sure if it has been done before or not but I was thinking, whether you're into digital art, traditional, music, storywriting, animating, game making, map-building, programming, whatever, there's always those that are 'up there' in the world. Those really amazing talented people who make these incredible masterpieces, and you can't help but go 'wow I really wish I was as good as them'. But the thing is, they didn't just magically wake up one day to be these amazing people. They all started off somewhere.
And that's what leads me to the idea for this challenge...
The 'Just for Starters' Challenge
To post, link, retweet, facebook or otherwise share your first piece of artwork.
Not the first finished, polished, masterpiece.
But the first piece you have posted up, be it on deviantart, soundcloud, facebook, wherever.
The point of the challenge is not to brag, or show off, but to encourage budding young artists.
To show them it's not impossible to get 'that good' one day!
Now this is mostly aimed at those 'up there' people and I'm hoping it is they who will be first to reshare this, to show to the little guys, those newcomers like I am to the animation sector, that they didn't just wake up to be amazing at what they do. They worked at it day by day, month by month, year by year, decade by decade. I myself don't always like to look at my oldest pieces because looking back, I think they look terrible. But you know what? I wouldn't be where I am today without them. And so I leave them posted up as a reminder to myself how far I've improved from those early pieces. They might not be pretty, but they were the stepping stones.
Now assuming this takes off, which it might not, I don't care if people wish to credit me or not as I'm not doing this for attention. But if you want to link back or credit me, go for it. But I would like to see your first works too!
Edit: It is not a requirement, but if you wanted to make it easier for people to find those doing the challenge, could you add in 'Just for Starters Challenge' in the title if you're submitting it to FA/devart/weasyl/wherever and/or add in the description: #JustForStartersChallenge #Inspire
you could also use those hashtags if you'd rather spread it around on twitter too! Thanks goes to TagAnimations for the hashtags too xD

Though surely there's still the first things you posted to your account here on fA or elsewhere?
