Bull on wheels?

...moo...
After watching my hubby's daughter compete on a local roller derby team, really inspired me to get onto a set of quads and learn how to skate. Would love to get really good and fast and nimble at it. A few months ago, I got my first taste of skating in years and was pretty impressed with myself as I rarely crashed (usually involved dodging kids skating the wrong direction) and actually had some great speed and stamina. I just can't quite get a graceful turn yet.
Oh, would be fun to be in a men's roller derby team. I already have wrestling experience, so why not wrestle while on skates?

Fooling aside I remember skating at the local skateland. They were always playing Guns and Roses or something else hair bandish. The only thing I hated was when they did the couples skate. Singles weren't aloud on the rink and I always had boys trying to get me to skate with them. BLARG! Course I was between 9 and 11 and still hated boys at the time.
My advice if you want to get good at roller derby (never heard of mens version by the way). Definitely learn how to take a turn at speed and learn how to skate with balance on one leg. That will serve you well when taking a hit or giving one.
