Writing Jam Sesson, Preplanning
All right folks, so there seems to be some interest in this idea so I shall put up the official Writing Jam official journal.
So to go over some brief ideas I had for the jam to see if folks agree, disagree, or have any suggestions to make it awesome.
First thought days to make it work. I can do the Jam Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and maybe Saturday night after 5 pm Eastern Standard time. So probably to make my west coast authors happy maybe start around 7 or 8 Eastern Standard time. So folks let me know what days work best for folks and we shall find a day for the most people to join up.
Second thought, have the jam have two, maybe 3 parts.
Part 1 warm up
Pretty simple, a quick prompt and have folks go to town on it. Nothing complicated, maybe something like Glory Hole, or bondage, or even something simple like Tavern. Just a general hey get them fingers lubed up, ok that sounded dirty, I like it. Give folks about ten minutes to write a quick blurb on the subject to be posted up as the Lube up session.
Part 2 Collective Jam time
Here is where the fun part comes in honestly. We hit the random character generator, or ask for donation characters for the jam. Then hit the fetish generator to find what we will be writing about. Jam last 1 hour or till every writer has 2 ten minute sessions. So example 2 people show to write with me, we each get 2 sessions and that puts us right at 1 hour. If only one person comes, then we get 3 ten minute sessions. If 10 people show up (that would be amazing and might break it into two 5 folk groups) then we rock 2 ten minute sessions each to bang out this story. You get ten minutes folks to add your awesome sauce to the jam and that means you hit 10 minutes and you are mid sentence, oh boy next guy gets to finish (like sloppy seconds, or 8ths depending on how far in we are).
Part 3 (maybe) Cool Down cuddle.
Pretty simple, a less intense writing bit where we just free form and tag in and out on a final topic that focuses on a species. So say horses. Opens with someone describing a horse character, someone tags in and writes where they are, and so forth till probably everyone has a quick go to relax us from the jam. Lets everything chill a bit and no time limit so this might be long or just a short paragraph or two.
Final part. I plan to post up the jam's results and everyone who participated is free to do the same. Gives all the writers some exposure to everyone's audience, and shows FA just how many writers we have.
Issues I see happening.
Lets be honest not everyone's skill level is the same, and we are trying to merge a bunch of styles together and that is like mixing oil and water, cats and dogs, aliens and marines. Sure it can make something awesome or it can be a cluster cuss, shit happens. This is not about tearing people down or making folks feel bad, this is all about helping each other out and improving skills and methods to make us all better writers. Are we gonna produce the next Game of Thrones, probably not, but can we make something we can look at as a group and see the flaws in our own writing as well as how to make things better. I believe so. So keeping critics and griping to a minimum is essential.
Final words.
All right folks, if you are interested, please comment below so I can get a list of authors, and give me your preferred day to give this a whirl. I am aiming for starting between 5-9 Eastern Standard time so the west coast folks can have their day and join in, and us eastern standard folks aren't up till like 3 am over here. For those outside of this time zone range I am sorry, will try and organize one for you folks too or maybe pass that off to someone who is in those times. So let me hear from you folks and lets rock this Jam!

Gonna have to be around 7pm EST for me though. I'm at work until 5:30pm or so, and need some cool-down time before I start anything serious.
Beyond that, I don't see any real way to defend against the myriad of things that could go wrong with this... but we won't know exactly what the issues are gonna be until we try it, so I say we just try it as is and see what happens.
