At a Loss

Hi everyone, and don't worry, this journal is not as serious as it sounds. However, as far as I'm concerned, this is serious for Microsoft. I upgraded my desktop to Windows 10 some time ago via the free upgrade program provided by Microsoft. I honestly am at a loss. I really wanted to use it and take advantage of the advanced features and rapid boot times. The problem I'm facing is spotaneous blue screen errors. I've been getting them rather frequently since the upgrade (or downgrade, depending on how you look at it) and it's become a painful nuisance. In fact, rather than being productive and continuing with the UV painting, I'm here bemoaning Microsoft's incompetencies and wasting time.
To clarify, I upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate and have the full version in its retail packaging, so installing it on my SSD will not be a problem if I have to. I've ran system updates and kept my Nvidia drivers up to date since the upgrade, and to no avail. I should mention I have Windows 10 on my laptop, and it runs perfect.
If anybody has any advice or wisdom to share in order to solve this problem, please get in touch. I'm very certain it's a software issue, but I really don't have the resolve to trouble shoot the system. I'm going to have to roll back to Windows 7 very soon, as I simply cannot rely on Microsoft's new operating system in the shambolic state it's currently in. I was seriously thinking about purchasing a full version of Windows 10 Ultimate to install fresh onto a larger SSD, now I'm just not sure :P
