A week and a half ago I couldn't have possibly been more depressed. I was fired from my job for subduing a man who struck his wife by putting him in a full-nelson and holding him until help arrived. It was just a part time job, but it barely paid my bills and kept me happy. When I lost it I thought I was done for. I don't have people who'd want to take me in, and my work experience is shoddy at best, so finding jobs has always been severely difficult in my town. I was crying daily and even thought about just ending it altogether.

Like a gift from above, though, a business that should hate me decided to give me an interview. When I was young, but still over 18, I stole a lot from them, and was ultimately caught in the act. Even knowing this the business saved my life, by providing me with a job that even pays more than the one I had been fired from (although it is still part time). My tears of pain are now tears of joy, although I still have to find a way to convince a renter who hates me to give me a two week extension on my payment or else I'll be homeless... but at least I won't be hungry.
