I've come to talk with you again...
It wasn't too much of a shock, it seems this would happen to us eventually especially if it was some kind of malicious intent. It is a shame we lost pretty much 6 days worth of data, permissions and submissions. Luckily I only had lost one submission but the submission itself had a lot of heartfelt description, I suppose I'm thankful I make back ups and of course have other mediums where those lost submissions are posted. I imagine we pretty much rely on FA these days and this teaches us the heavy price of that dependance. Hopefully within the next few days we will see some improvements but for now this has put quite the spanner in the works.
In the grand scheme of things, the good news is I'm now fully employed and have a contract with my local council. It's fantastic money and I'm so pleased I can begin to truly work hard so that I can start paying off my suit. I'm even going to have a missmonster mask to wear at meets and of course as a part of my suit until the resin blank is made to fit over her fursuit face. Mercury has kindly allowed me to purchase this Kitsune mask blank, and I am excited to get a hold of it and start work on it. Commissions are starting to fit snuggly around my working hours and they seem to be increasing in turn over as I complete more and more of my little queue. It's nice to have all the support I'm getting, especially from artists far exceeding my skills! (Oh senpai, how you excite me).
In light of the fursuit build, my 2016 reference is under way, which is being designed by the amazingly wonderful Kerotzuki who will be completing me a full back and front reference along with a feral form and changing mask form to go with it. I'm pretty excited to keep adding to it now that I have saved the funds to do so. I don't have a lot of time to create my own reference so it's nice to see someone do her justice in my absence. Hopefully, I will start to pad out some loose ideas of her other forms and how she looks with a few tails going on, I'll keep you posted~
I have decided to sort of change my mind and except three more bust commissions once I've finished this batch. I haven't really had the inspiration to draw my own stuff of late due to some pretty awful stuff happening which has totally put me off. I'll have the slots out sometime in the next two weeks but the first slot will be going out on twitter so keep an eye out~
I'm not doing any conventions this year I'm afraid, seems I've had a few ask me whether or not I will be attending Confuzzled, EF, MWFF and the likes and I simply cannot stretch my funds to do so. This year is fully centred on obtaining my suit and thus I will be attending no gatherings this year other than the occasional mini meet at Manchester. Next year however is a different story, the plan will hopefully be to attend CFz and not only Suit up, but also deal in the dealers den alongside my ever so loving friend and surrogate fandom mother, Lapres. I've finally worked up the courage to start dealing and so I'm sorta looking forward to it.....sweats nervously.
Other conventions I'd like to attend are definitely either Nordic Fuzz Con in Sweden, (Since like...a load of my Guildies are there too and I want to meet them for reals) and Eurofurence. The Conventions of my dreams will be MWFF in Chicago, Illinois, and JMoF/KemoCon in Japan since Kaoru will be a kemono suit in style. Maybe if all goes well I can try and think about MWFF next year and perhaps give it a little longer for Conventions in Japan, I want to be at a pretty decent standard of speaking the language, fluent if possible.
