Ok, first things first, sure it was anoying that the site was off..... BUT FUCKING CHRIST!!!
I'ts not FA's fault for getting hacked! the best sites and companies in the world get hacked!
acting like a freaking 5 year old isn't going to help anyone!
Sure what haooened was a pain in the ass, but it wasn't as if they had a huge sign on the site saying: please hack us, we love it.
Plus they did take action.
So no, i'm sorry to say to the ones that leave, i am sorry to see you go, but i'm not going to make 10 new accounts on different sites just to follow someone.
that would be ridiculous.
Besides, I love FA. here's where i got started on my orcish stuff and met all the people i know now, seen all the great artwork, met amazing artists.
Sorry for the rant, but sometimes people just need to wake up, and grow up. Shit happens, and it's up to you how to deal with it. want to leave your followers behind completely? ungreatful to your watchers!
But i can understand if you want to open multiple sites to get your work more spread out,
*Sigh* i just hope not that not everyone leaves

FA+

Also I could imagine it being a VERY low percentage of their followers that would follow them on other sites. Though that is coming from someone who's just too lazy to be active on more than one site :/
Also looking forward to seeing what you've gotten. Surely it would have to be featuring some beefy greenskins or other beefy things hmm? ;)
Looking forward to it you handsome brute you :3
When people just up and leave the site due to one incident, its ungrateful to the people who watch them. It doesn't speak much for their character. Spreading out and all is fine, but abandoning the site because some stupid idiot with nothing else to do attacked it is immature. Its overreacting.
i am not leaving my favorite site! i love FA! shit happens and the biggest sites get hacked... so what ? big deal!
FA went out for a few days and yes that sucks, but admins were busting their asses retrieving the site and maintaining it!
nope, not leaving this site!
as for the mighty no 9, that is something that i have to google.
and well everyone knows GTA, but i was more of a saints row person. i did get GTA 5 from my sis, but still need to try it out before i can say if i like it or not
Also, Mighty No. 9 is a spiritual successor to Megaman.
It pretty much happens whenever some shenanigans occur, people get mad, claim to leave FA, try to take as many people with them to whatever site they're relocating, few people bother and that's it. In fact, some of them even end up returning to FA, because no one wants to bother going thru the hassles of making a new account and migrating their work and what not.
I still post at deviantART, but that's because I originally began posting art there back in 2005 and have a small number of friends there. Over the years, I became much more distant there as the community there devolved into a bunch of pretentious drama queens who constantly troll, whine, and/or insult others, and the staff stopped caring for everything about deviantART and its userbase except $$$. And some of the crap they did in the past was far worse than the FA staff's antics.
"Got a virus from their ads? Too bad! Buy Premium subscription and you won't have this problem." (Yes, they seriously once said that to a complaint about malware in their ads).
I also once gave tumblr a try, and not even an week later I dropped it like a hot potato. Between the cluttered layout, and the flood of idiots who don't know what the NSFW tag is for, I just couldn't stand the place. And their customer service was even worse than deviantART's (which says a lot).
I could put up with the usual unmarked NSFW crap for a while, but when I started seeing real life pictures of a popular artist's wiener without any sort of mature filter on (among other things), that was the last straw for me and I immediately abandoned my account there. As bad as the horrors of FA's NSFW database is, at least the people here are courteous enough to tag them as NFW.
FA has its problems, but at least it's community is a lot better than the other sites, IMO. In fact, the Anime/MLP "community" on DeviantART is far, far worse than anything I've seen from FA's community.
Also... did they really say that? holy fuck X_X talk about forcing you into premium. well i never really liked deviantart, not my thing.
And well i do have a Tumblr, but i don't post anything there, not the right place for writers X_X I can understand the NSFW things would bother you. i am a perv so i don't mind it at all. but for those who are not it can be quite a drag!
But it still doesn't excuse how shitty the community has become on dA has nowadays. I'm still pretty upset with a incident i had a couple years ago there.
This was the result:

Considering that and the fact that some of the rude commenters have apparently been banned/deactivated, in the end, I say I'd have the last laugh. So this really does not bother me anymore.
Plus would have missed out on some fun thing if you quit ><
