Hey the lights on.
Okay first, I decided it's time. I just have to get the people together but otherwise, I want to start a band this summer... the only problem is I don't know anyone with the same kinda interest in music as me who plays anything other than drums... I might be able to get Alex to play bass (but I want to avoid that route if possible cause ass pirate (he is an asshole, and a pirate, thus he is logically an ass pirate) doesn't listen to "exactly" my kinda music (more gnr and older stuff) all we need is a guitarist. I might be able to get Patty, but I'm not sure if he listens to my kinda music.
If you guys have any friends who can play any instruments or bands looking for a singer (since these are all last resort options) let them and me know and give em my email ( schor_ph[at]hotmail.com ) and we could chat it up and see if it fits, I will soon be able to get voice samples (hopefully) and we could always use msn to reherse and... well I get ahead of myself. Just point any of em in my direction and I'll let them know.
Secondly... and please, whatever you do, don't hate me for this.
So I was thinking one day, and I started thinking about the future and how much college and that stuff will cost. I started considering, maybe I should join up some branch of the military (like marines or navy or something). I have afew reasons for thinking about this, 1. A lot of my friends are going off to join the marines or army after highschool, 2. They'll pay for college (and seriously, won't military service look good on a college app?) 3. Well, it's kinda... stupid, but it's always been kinda a dream of mine to die a hero, and what is more heroic than fighting for the freedom of a nation?
That last point being said, I don't think I would actually join up in a very combatitive (/active) unit. I was thinking signing along with Mitch as an IT specialist.
Yeah... well, I don't know if I'll do it or not, but I thought I'd just put it up there that I was thinking about it.
Well that's all I gotta say, other than I learned that my dad introduced an entire nation to the song "King Nothing" by metallica. Kinda cool tidbit.

I would support you 100% if you joined the military ^^ I think its very respectful and If I was hiring for any position in a job, I would take ex military over anything else.

*hugs* thanks kimmy, you're a good friend, but I'm still not sure if I will or not... dad has advised agianst it because (like me) nobody really thinks I have it. I was only considering it cause I don't know how else I'd get the cash together for college...

well.. I would recomeend the air force or the navy personally, but I think if you can graduate high school, and are in decent health, you have it in you to be in the military ^^ My husband (who you remind me of) served 6 years in the air force, and he is the biggest smart ass, and made it through basic training on top and even trained for special ops... if he can... you can ^^

Your a great friend, and I'll make sure to take those branches into account, who knows, maybe I'm more like Tim than either of us expect. And according to the A.S.V.A.B (I got like a 76 or something high like that) I could join pretty much anything I wanted in the service

*huggles* ^^ Tim was what they call a GAC guy ^^ ("guidance and control" system specialist) basically he was avionics on the KC135s (big cargo planes)
