Something about the site being hacked, and the coding being distributed at a furry convention, the site needed to use a backup from about five days before the attack happened, and personal information was compromised.

And 6 days worth of watches, favorites, and posts were also eliminated so everyone had to redo their previous actions. And also the site went on read mode so everyone's passwords were reset

Not necessarily 6 days, just the posts and follows from that coding was worth of 6 days, the site was down for about 2-3 days, and few more of the read only, so when the site recovered, six days worth of posts and watchers dissapeared. Only thing that never erased was the journal entries, but on the 18th May when the site went up, traffic on this site was way up as expected.
