I don't know about y'all, but I've been noticing quite a bit of new accounts around recently.
Seems a bit....shifty.

That's because a lot of people lost their accounts, at least the ability to log in, so they're making new ones.

Apparently it's not working for everyone and it's faster and less of a hassle to just make a new account instead of waiting for the admins to get around to fixing the problem. I had a little trouble too, but it took only two verifications to get it to work.

The most common reason seems to be many folks unable to recover their passwords after the whole recent incident, and therefore have no choice but to create a new account.

Can't they just do the "password recovery" thingy? Unless they've been logging this entire time, without a clue as to what their password is.

It's seems to have either been glitch-y to some folks trying to recover it, or for who knows whatever reason they can't.

Weird, I know.

The site claims it's gone through "improvements" after the attack, yet a crucial backup feature is going through some funk. :P

Yes. I managed to recover my Account with entering the verification code that was submitted through my Email, AND resetting my password like 1..2..3..! Childs play!

Another issue seems to be outdated email accounts on users end. People signed up with emails years ago they no longer use and dont have the password for those so they can't use the recovery code.
