As a commision..er we expect the updates you promise. We expect the time frames you offer and promise. I shouldn't be paying so much for you to be taking so long
"But artist have a life too, and they are busy"
K
But no one cares. If the artist would ..like..update their commision er with a "oh it's going to take a week more".
Honestly. I'd rather have my artist tell me "one more week" for a month straight, than not hear from them for that month.
Honestly. It's not hard. And if you tell your com er "it'll be a week". Then damnit we are waiting for that week so we can have results. Not be me and wait a month to hear jack shit.
I'm angry
It's midnight
Iluall
This doesn't apply to any of my friends on here or honestly anyone I've currently comished. But like.

Why.
It's called an update
It's IN your crappy "terms and service"
Make it happen

Some artists are really unprofessional. No time and workflow management at all. There's a simple rule - if you take money it is you job! And if worker is not making his work properly and on time he is fired, right?
It's wrong if actions of single unorganized artist are destroying reputation of all of us...
like where is the professionalism
Either way, the communication needs to happen - this entitled "Taking your money and dissappearing into the wind until I feel like working on your thing even though I already spent your money day 1" thing is really getting old.
Communication is really as simple as firing off a ten word update email a lot of the time, or just using something like trello so that the customers have an easy place to see all progress and projects - unless the artist is taking on more work than they can actually handle and therefore needing to hide the fact that they're making customers wait ridiculous wait times under a muse crippling load of work they can't actually complete.
