ikr. it seems like people are overwhelmingly excited about it. like ridiculously excited.
I've checked it a few times but hadn't made an account- so far everything loads very,very slowly compared to most other websites,and the search has problems.

It's because furries are drama queens, and any time something goes wrong with their porn they put up a stink and leave. Maybe I just don't have perspective since I'm not an artist, but it'd be way more convenient to have everything in one spot instead of having to check 5 different sites to see if an artist I like has posted something new, and FA used to be that site. Now that all these other sites are popping up and trying to compete with FA, and with FA being the most well known site and being targeted by people who just don't like furries (or don't like FA) people are afraid their account details will get stolen etc. Maybe don't use the same password here as you do for your online banking or E-mail? This is a threat to just about every site, but it's much more likely to happen to the most popular one at the time.

This must be the third time in recent memory that 'everyone left FA' (but surprise, most of them are still here) and only the first time I can remember people having a legitimate reason for doing so. Heck, at the moment the biggest problem with FA is people leaving, not there being an actual reason to leave. The only legitimate reason I can think of is FA is a very old site so it's possible that a newer, shinier version of FA with more modern features is what people want, and if that's the case... well, just exactly what features do you need that FA doesn't provide? You're much less likely to get viewers on the less known sites unless you also keep an account here with teaser pictures and links to your 'main' gallery on the alternate site.

Again, I'm not an artist so a lot of this stuff is probably just a matter of perspective.

Yeah , i was getting kinda tired reading every time something happends with fa that people are leaving to a other site like weasly,sofurry ect.....they all return within a few weeks like a dog withhis tail between the leggs.

I made an account there well before any of the recent drama on FA started. I can't see anything great about the site. From the first day I used it, it was extremely slow, even when hardly anyone was using it. When working with galleries, it's so slow that it borders on unusable. I also can't stand those square cropped thumbnails. Some people might like it, but the interface beyond horrible in my opinion. I'll take FA's or Inkbunny's interface any day over that.

The main reason that people are moving there is because it's new, and many furries tend to follow the most dramatic and loudest persons like lemmings. In another month or two from now, most of those people will be right back here.

Exactly what i thought

Just the newest, flashiest life boat to flee to as the pirate subs aim their terrorist torpedoes on the good ship FA. That's all.

I agree with OzyTheSquirrel, people leave FA, flip the bird and say: "Smell yah later suckers!" but come back on their hands and knees whenever the new sites don't generate enough traffic (and especially shekles) for them. Oh well, what else is new whenever furries are involved? ;P

I myself don't leave FA on a whim, I mean: There are rotten apples everywhere and most of the people I know are on here.
Second: The only reason I have multiple accounts on other sites is because of freedom. I myself have a SoFurry, Inkbunny and a Furry Network account and those are there to: A. Follow the people who might not have an FA (those exist), B. Enable people to follow my raunchy art elsewhere and C. to be able to upload stuff that FA generally frowns upon (to put things in lighter terms).

Inkbunny basically allows everything under the sun, as long as the characters are furries. SoFurry also allows human art but explicitly tells people to keep that down since it's a furry site (something which I totally agree with). Furry Network is kind of like SoFurry from what I've seen in their AUP and they're very loose on what you upload as long as you mark everything properly. Although that might still change since it's a new site 'n all, I just hope that they'll keep their AUP as it is right now or at the very least keep all the furry art free from any kind of censorship. (I hate having to censor my works or being unable to upload something because someone's jimmies could end up being rustled for whatever reason)

But I do have to say that the freedom of artistic expression is so far the only reason as to why I would 'recommend' Furry Network at the moment. If memory serves me well, Weasyl started out with the same 'blank slate' before adding all sorts of traps, snakes and U-Turns inside of their upload policy once traffic started coming in. I hope Furry Network won't go down that route but one can only hope, wait and see that this won't happen (again).

As for useability: Yeah, right now FurryNetwork is unstable and uninteresting and their uploaders are nothing short of iffy, although they're still in beta, so it's to be expected. I haven't experienced a lot of slowdown myself though, which means that I can probably guess where their servers are being hosted. I'd say: Wait and see what comes out of it. For now: My money's definitely still on Inkbunny as far as the 'better-furry-site' is concerned. (or at the very least, it is the better furry site for me). ;3

Fa and ib compared with eachother will lead that ib is the most stable furry website that i know, also with no adds or commercial popups.
On the other paw Fa is much bigger then ib , the bigger they are , the harder they fall. Fa's got 1 picture every 2 secs to store and is huge compared to Ib.

the password reset swiped allot of accounts away who forgot their email (kinda weird in my opinion) but also allot of bots
For now, 5 or 6 furs with bots rewatched me .
