Skinny dipping!

I brought home a new budgie on the 27th and I'm convinced that he's an absolute nut. His name if Gem, and when he gets excited, he performs acrobatics; lots of twisting upside down, playing in his food dish, and yes, even skinny dipping in the water bowl.
I've already taken the water dish out twice to clean it. But he seems determined to dirty it up. I even put a larger saucer with shallow, warm water in it, but he didn't seem to want to bathe in that. x3 He's crazy.
*Also, once he calmed down from his stunts he sat on my finger. :D

Actually, most leashes are either unsafe or aren't small enough to secure a budgie. But I turn the fan off and keep the door closed and make sure that he can't see the window (they don't understand windows). Plus, his wings are clipped, so he can't get too far until the feathers grow back.
He's sweet, but he's also part monkey. xD
