Fly away home

Fight her all you want you'll never win
Couldn't we just once leave her in bed
Let the dry air cut her happy throat
Hide her heart and lose her happy head
My grandpa just recently passed away, and I thought I'd take it better than what I am. I try to become comfortable with death cause I know sooner or later everyone will go through it...but still its alittle hard right now. I miss him, I didn't have to much ability to go and see him, expecially with the past two and a half years of him almost constantly being in the hospital. But still I loved my grandpa. No matter how bad, how odd the kids where he loved them all the same, and so very much I don't think there are awhole lot of people out there like him, he died from cancer that no matter what was done refused to leave him alone, and he was very very sick the last 2 years of his life...But yeah, I don't believe in god but this is the poem they put in his memorial card. I think it's just about one of the saddest things I've ever read, and it reminds me so much of him. As he loved nature...Anyway
----
God looked around his garden,
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
he always takes the best.
He knew you where suffering,
he knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never,
get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
and the hills were hard to climb,
so he closed your weary eyelids,
and whispered, "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you didn't go alone,
for a part of us went with you,
the day god called you home.
Just needed some mourning, so maybe I'll stop crying before work.
