Dude, I don't even know you and I'm gonna say you're wrong, because that statement is too broad. So get that idea out of your head and find a more truthful statement. "Some people don't like me because they have their issues and opinions" And that's all. Of course, I'm just some random guy, what do I know?

Aside from being terribly out of the loop (a problem I've had for decades), I by no means have ever thought ill of you. You have been, in every way, a sweetheart of a person, a good soul, and not prone to anything ill or untowards. You are, by me, still beloved, and I do think of you (even if I am far too lazy to speak up oft-times).
