I'm SERIOUSLY tempted to just go into hiding until June.
On Wednesday, amidst a mad whirlwind of eleventh-hour updates to far too many applications and tables just so we could eke out a fix the Admiralty really, really wanted last week, the construction project from hell finally ended (if anything that still requires me to sand/prime/paint a major piece can be called "finished"...).
On Thursday, my muffler decided to celebrate by killing itself. The nearest replacement parts are in California, so I don't have a car 'til MAYBE next Wednesday.
On Friday, in an astonishing show of solidarity that may or may not have anything to do with getting caught in an alarmingly-violent sudden-onset thunderstorm in that last mile of my walk home that has no shelter whatsoever, my iPod ALSO killed itself. D8
Perhaps I may venture out on Sunday to see if the Apple Geniuses over at the mall can resuscitate the iPod. (This might also allow me to get groceries at the farmer's market in the mall parking lot...)
