Ok! Here is some information I have on my pompkin species so far!
I have a plan of making a short animated video of their species information at some point, but there's no telling how long that will take xnx So for now, you get a wall of text! oAo
Pompkins are magically inclined.
They are a domesticated species (like your average house cat), however they are mostly owned by witches/wizards and those who are interested in magic.
Pompkins link/bond with their masters and are able to communicate emphatically. They do not have a language, they just transmit their feelings to their master.
A pompkin's magical strength is linked to their master, the stronger their master is, the stronger they are.
Strong pompkins are able to change their form to mimic their master's. If their master is human their body can change to look like a human, however they retain their ears, tail, fluff, and some markings. If their master is anthropomorphic, the pompkin's form will look anthropomorphic. They can readily change from human-like form to feral.
However, even in human-like form they cannot speak, they only make tiny squeaking sounds as in their feral form.
There are wild pompkins, such as stray cats, that live near civilization.
Wild pompkins cannot turn into a human-like form, because they tend to have very weak magic.
Wild pompkins link/bond with a mate and tend to live in family groups.
Examples of pompkin magic:
- The ability to float around/short distances
- The ability to teleport short distances
- The ability to levitate small items
There are common and rare magics that are extremely effected by their master's power. I will have more specific info on magics later on.

- A pompkin's blood glows
- When a pompkin is sick, it sneezes a cloud of sparkles
-They're about the size of a small cat. Weighing anywhere from 6-9 lbs.
-Lifespan is naturally 50 years, however the stronger the magic of their master, the longer they live. The oldest known pompkin was 198 years old.
This is all the info I have at the moment, if you have any questions about pompkins or more info you would like added, just ask! It would help me flesh out this species a bit more x3
I am still very tempted by the blue and orange design or the split black/grey design, but I'm still waiting to see if I can bug you about a few customs. :p
Yeah, I meant to do customs way sooner but with FA exploding and then I got really sick and things have just been odd lately @w@
I've been thinking about adding onto the adopts though, like an anthro form and/or master + pompkin sets~
