I used to have this really bad. I had to condition myself out of it.

When I saw tornado watches on the weather report, I would take all of my personal belongings and shove them into a closet under the basement stairs. I also stocked up on food and water. Needless to say, I didn't ever need it, but whenever severe weather hit I was absolutely freaked out.

Yeah that's my issue, whenever the weather people comment on "possible tornados" my anxiety
Goes nuts, to the point that I exhaust myself from checking weather/forecasts/radars /just/ Incase something changes with in 10 mins. An of course having my son and dog, I panic about what if's.
Granted I'm back in the house I grew up in an my grandma lived in for years an we have never had a serious problem I still get worried ._.

I am scared of storms but idk if you could call it a phobia

Storms is one phobia, mines more directed to super bad storms that can produce tornados ._.

Yes I got that, but the fear of storms its self is its own phobia called Astraphobia. That's what I was saying

When I was a kid a tornado formed directly over my house. It was terrifying so I kinda know where you're coming from, though it's not the same.

I honestly never had this fear till after I had my son. .-.

Well then I feel that justifies your fear. I know if I had one I'd likely be in the same boat.

Again this is in no way the same, but I've got a horrible fear of my power going out because I've got 2 bearded dragons and they're my babies.
