Using Paypal on NSFW Patreon accounts?
First of all, thanks so much for the overwhelming amount of comments, favorites, and notes on The Orange Fox 2! I know it is and remains a fetish related film, but I still hope that people could enjoy the aesthetics behind it! (:
Before I get to the self explanatory title I have to make the confession that this film was actually supposed to be the last film for me to post here. The reason for that being that I didn't just feel completely burned out, but also that putting so much work into these films and handing them out for free had left me at a pretty bad state, especially with me actually spending time and money into something that wouldn't really get me anywhere, multiple times in a row. I admit that I planned to pull back from this for a few months now for the mentioned reasons. However, after posting this film there were a lot of comments and notes that brought my attention back to Patreon, which actually seems like an option that could actually work. I'd still have to think about the rewards and what to do with it, but if there was actually some money coming from this that would compensate for all the nerve wrecking work that goes into making an animation like this, things would likely look a little different.
The main goal remains to keep these films free for the community, even though I'm not sure if that's attractive enough for patrons to actually pledge. It's likely I'll give this a test run first and see if it can actually work. If I could establish this as a sort of part-time job I'd even be able to post animations more frequently. Likely every two months, rather than once a year. Perhaps it would also be a better goal to keep animations a bit shorter instead of always rendering half a short film.
With Patreon actually supporting NSFW content I was wondering how well that translates to Paypal. But now I've read a few cases that Paypal is not an option when making a NSFW Patreon, yet the Paypal option is still visible on the account I made today. Are there any people here that own NSFW Patreons and manage to get Paypal payouts? I'm still a bit nervous of getting my Paypal suspended for using it with NSFW content, which is clearly against Paypal's guidelines. any ideas, experiences?
Would certainly love to have some help while I'm slowly approaching this. (:

as for the paypal integration, I'm pretty sure you just get a blank transfer from Patreon itself
Added to the userbase that actually can not pay to follow you on patreon to watch the said animations (which probably is quite the few people)
No offense tho, i do know that its hard work and takes alooot of time to do it all and its fully understandable that you want to get money for it, even if you do still have em free for the community im sure you will get a few pledges still, probably not as much as you want it in the end and that
But the main reason why things gets stolen is because people put a paywall on stuff, so even if you run a patreon pledge system, those animation swill be free to view the day after its posted somewhere for everyone
I do hope you are not offended by any of this, its just a concern of mine, and a point of view
Apart from that my stuff is already all over youtube even without a paywall being anywhere. :P
And with paypal, as far as i recall, their policies are against stuff like porn and adult content, even tho 90% of the furry porn art and the such is paid for using paypal and that ive seen a good few artists use patreon for nsfw content, i would say its certainly an option but its possible to get your paypal banned from it,
Lets go with an example, fidchell here, a well known artist doing both normal vore and unbirth, and as of lately a tad of vanilla sex in it all, hes been running a patreon page for people to pledge into to get requests, as of this far i dont think he got any issues with payments
I've no idea what kind of tiers (if any) you might put for such a thing though D:
Still clueless about the tiers still. I'll likely handle it as a tip jar if anything. Perhaps will reward patrons with videos in 4K resolution, eventually a few other things such as WIPs. I might come up with a system where I put out more content depending on the money coming in for a start! <:
In your case I wouldn't worry as much however: Paypal usually has issues with actual porn. If your vore animations don't include that, or aren't way too ostentatious... I don't suspect they will mind, especially not enough to follow you around the internet and look at your Patreon. They're businessmen in suits, why would they even know about a community like us vore fans and what it's about :P
That said, if you ever decide to stop doing such animations, it's understandable and I wouldn't hold it against you. But I so, so, so hope that doesn't happen still...
Patreon still takes Paypal stuff, but if an account is labeled NSFW, they require you to put in a credit card number for NSFW content they're charging you for.
That said, the only thing I've seen you do that would qualify as NSFW was one of those scrapped animations where Krystal's not wearing clothes, and even that's questionable since there's no "bits" showing. Everything you've done so far on a serious level wouldn't require that designation. It's weird. It's fetishy. But it's still not inherently sexual.
But yeah. Patreon makes you designate a credit card if the account's labeled NSFW, which is a bit strange because PayPal says that it simply won't deal with pornography, which is a bit different. It even specifies that tasteful nude artwork and the like are okay. PayPal, that is. Patreon doesn't really define NSFW, last I saw.
Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about the NSFW thing, your work TECHNICALLY isn't NSFW, it's just fetish stuff, so you should be fine.
Seriously, though, I think this is a great idea. I love your work-(even just, ah, outside the fetishy angle, the aesthetics and friggen SKILL you put into them is impressive.)-and I would be happy to toss money your way to help you continue it.
It would probably be at a pretty low tier just because I'm on a budget, but hopefully every little bit counts?
