Art Tablet finally died - Recommendations for another?

General
Always a pain in the ass to have it break down on you mid-art; but alas nothin' lasts forever. This Bamboo has lasted me for somethin' close to 4 years now - even then it was second-hand by someone who did even more art than me, so it certainly had some mileage to it.
I was wonderin' if anyone can recommended another type of tablet - Wacom bein' the leadin' brand would be lovely, had my eye on the Intuos as it's rather similar to the Bamboo but I'm open to suggestions.
In a time when I REALLY need/want to do art I'm unfortunately goin' to have to put a halt on it until I can grab myself another tablet, which also means dippin' in to funds I'd rather not have to touch; on top of the fee for my security license.
Life certainly has a way of kickin' ya while you're down.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you can find a good and inexpensive alternative. Though as you said, 4 yearss for a second-hand tablet is actually a pretty long time to last. Rest in piece, Bambo of Veratis.
Thank you, so far I've been steered towards a few cheap alternative n ideas but semi-undecided. Thinkin' if I should perhaps fork out that lil' bit extra to get a mildly better tablet or just stay humble.
*Gives a proper viking send-off, flaming arrow and all*
hope that helps
Unsure as to whether I should stick with somethin' small n cheap or maybe get somethin' slightly better; but I always figured the more expensive tablets are for those who do 3D art n renderin' etc.
Thank you though for your input; every lil' bit helps.
a friend recently got this model, they posted some of the work they did with it in their gallery so far

He's pumped out some pretty good stuff, seems to be very much the same to what I was currently usin'.
Thank you very much for the input!
