North Wales road trip photos

Azakir and I spent last weekend taking a road trip to north Wales where we saw some castles, visited the village of Portmeirion made famous by the 60's cult thriller TV show The Prisoner, bought a dragon plushie, and climbed the tallest mountain in Wales.
Among other things, we learned that north Wales is hauntingly, breathtakingly beautiful.
For any who are interested, my photos from the trip are now available here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/doran.....57668993735602

I'm from America originally and have lived in the UK a few years now, so getting to spend time in places like Scotland and Wales and the prettier bits of England still feels like a huge exotic treat to me still. :) So I'm just really enjoying the chance to enjoy and explore it when I can!
WHOA that castle, such GLORY. C= What history to be a part of! :D...And that waterfront town, so cozy. It looks like the town that they film Doc Martin in. And some of those places like the columns and plaza look half-Californian or Caribbean, it's funny.
... MMmm, kleeeen water.... YAY HARLEY! :D ....
Lill... lillian... lily-pfair-wallsee... lan-veer-pool- . o O (What the?) ...-go-get-your-queer? (BAD EXCEPTION: welsh.dll)
...How did you get such a short license tag?
...Those mountains are just begging to be rallied on, or mountain biked on. C: And Harley looks soooo soooo cuuuute my gosh. ;.; he's such a sweetie poo and brilliant red over the faded tones of the photos. :D
What a glorious trip, I need to get to the UK one day. ;_; I need to expand my world. Aaaaaugh I need much.
Portmeirion is a really surreal and strange place, yeah... really inspired by Italy and the Mediterranean, and yeah, very Caribbean colours on some of the buildings...
*giggle* Welsh is crazy to try and pronounce. I have still not figured it out. There are some tricks like... certain letters are just pronounced a certain way, but it's context dependent too. 'W' is a vowel, at least sometimes, and when it is it has an 'oo' sound. For example.
The license tag/numberplate isn't actually that short, I just kept the date code digits (it's a 2016 car) and blanked out all the other bits. Because there's a risk in this country of somebody like... copying your numberplate and sticking a fake on their own car and then speeding with it and the speed camera scans the plate and thinks it was you instead of them, or something. So I try to blank out numberplates in photos I post as a courtesy.
The mountains are just gorgeous. I'd be nervous to see anyone mountainbiking on some of the high ridgetops of death, but yeah, a lot of the trail lower down seems like it would be awesome for that. If one knew how to do it without killing oneself. XD

And yus I love Harley so much. ^^ Wanted to bring him everywhere with us.
I'm really trying to expand my world. We can't afford to go EVERYWHERE right now, but there's so much of Britain to see that I haven't before, so Azzy and I are trying to do at least one fun long weekend road trip a year where we find somewhere awesome in the UK and go there. We've previously done Cornwall (southwest pointy bit) and Dunnet Head (northernmost bit of mainland Scotland) and it's wonderful times. There is so much to see and share. <3 So we just try to share the joy as much as we can through photos and tweets and such.
