For those who don't know (read: Likely all my watchers who don't read Charem's journals where he so very sweetly publicized my position in the choir at http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7633585/ ) , I sing for an LGBT choir known as Heartland Men's Chorus at hmckc.org and tonight we will be dedicating part of our concert starting in about an hour to the Pulse shooting. Typing this from my phone at the moment and still in shock over what happened. I'm not here to make any political statement about ISIS or gun control or hate crimes. This is beyond that and not the time. Unity is what is needed right now not polarization, and I will not tolerate political debates on this journal.

I would donate blood but cannot, of course. x..x So I will sing my heart out tonight and continue to raise awareness. That includes on my way to GALA, where on July 1st I will sing at the Equality House across from Westboro Baptist Church, the same one that praised the attacks. You can damn well be assured they will hear our voices. Beyond helping me come out from under my rock, I feel it my duty to say something as a professional choir member and subsequent activist behind the scenes; I'm tired of the silence.
