Oh hell, that sucks big time. If I had $$ for commissioning I would. I'd never live without my MP3 player, so I know how it feels...

Just as a note, if you're not completely loyal to an iPod, you should try one fo the Creative Zen models. I got one last Xmas (MicroPhoto 8gb) to replace my aging Mini, and it is awesome. More efficient screen, long battery life, radio, recorder, pictures, and it can easily be set up to act just like a flash drive for carrying files around. Cheaper that the equivalent iPod too. I love mine! Just wish I had the budget to get the video model.

T_T...i have a case for my iPod though....plus its user friendly to someone like me who sucks at learning new things once im used to something else....my poor poor iPod T_T

The best thing about an iPod is all the neat accessories they have. I never bought any for mine, though. I just need something to play music wherever I am. I actually prefer the interface on the Zen to the iPod.It has more features and is themable (custom backgrounds are awesome!) I don't know if the newer iPods do things like that yet.

Anyhow, don't mind me. I just babble on and on about things I like, especially technology. I seriously hope you get a new iPod soon :(
