My thoughts on Independence Day: Resurgence

You know... last night I came across one of my old journal-reviews, and in particular, one scathing review I gave ol' Mr. Emmerich about '2012', and how I lost all respect for him afterwards.
Yeah, I thought his last best one 20 years ago was the the first 'Independence Day'. 20 years later.... Roland Emmerich....
YOU'VE TOTALLY REDEEMED YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!
I won't spoil nothin', your mileage may vary, but if you loved the first movie, I think you're all gonna be pleasantly surprised by this. I'm especially since I saw it in the exact same theater I saw X-Men: Apocalypse in. Theater 13.
I don't wanna spoil much... but the queen in this movie... yeah, the alien queen from the 'Alien' franchise.... if she encounters her... she will be boned. HARD!
Now I want a third one. That's how happy this made me.
This and Finding Dory are suquels that are DEFINITELY WORTH the wait.
This movie had heart... and I deem it worthy of getting it on DVD ^^

Course, I admit I MAY be a little skewed, having worked with actual Black Knight squadron pilots, and them joking that they wished that the real Hornets could be that fast. :P
Amazing how much movie time Miramar has. :P
